    I think the 1st one has a great atmosphere to it - I would have re-sized it downward though to about 800x.

    street photography is not really my thing so bear that in mind...

    I don't actually like the black and white conversions on either of them. Did you shoot in colour and convert, or did you use a setting on the camera? They both appear to me to be slightly overly grey and under contrasted.

    With respect to the first one, I think it's slightly on the soft side (what camera were you using?) and I'd have cropped it a bit more sharply left and right unless you're really attached to the africa tee shirt on the back.

    The second doesn't really talk to me - possibly because of the conversion - but when you post something as Asian lane - I expect to see something to make it stand out a little as being I don't know, culturally different. But there isn't anything earth shattering about it and it fails the WIHIOMW test ("Would I Hang It On My Wall". What might have made it a little more interesting is if it were shot from a lower level particularly given the water on the ground...

    just my two cents worth.
