If you can do soldering, Radionics Herbiton Rd (RS Components) almost certainly has bare reed switches and almost any device small enough to solder/glue inside the casing should work. Farnell have a Dublin office, but may not stock anything. Maplin (Jarvis st?) might have bare reeds, but possibly only online orders from UK, they are helpful if you ring, check www.maplin.co.uk 1st to see if they do it at all and part number.
