    Tax is €31 and good only knows what figure they'll pluck out of the air for insurance. Best bet is to ring around and ask. Won't take long as there are only 3 companies at the moment doing bikes

    FYI - insurance companies:

    - AON (probably you're best bet)
    - Quinn Direct (you generally need 1 years NCB before they'll quote you)
    - Carol Nash (Generally don't insure the younger inexperienced rider)

    But defo ring them all.

    There's 2 companies specialising in electric transport in Ireland: -

    Green Machines www.greenmachines.ie and
    ESG www.mopeds.ie

    Grren Machines do EVT's range and ESG do the new emax range, used to do EQO.

    AFAIK only AON www.aonbikecare.ie will insure electric scooters. The others can't be bothered quoting. :( But check again I suppose because they may be copping on
