mymail question

hello all...I've a problem with my mymail account.

I tried to send an e-mail with a load of photos attached. The intended recipient didn't get it so sent it again. Went back to my inbox to find 100% of my 60 MB was taken up...I think 60% was taken up beforehand so obviously those 2 photo-laden e-mails were the culprits...Clicked casually 'pon the outbox button with the intention of simply deleting the 2 beasts so I'd be done with all the silliness. When I attempted same I was met with this message -

"There was an error moving messages to the trash. This is what the server said: Not enough disk space"

So how am I supposed to get rid of them?

I got an e-mail from I.S services telling me I'd exceeded my quota and that I should a) delete unwanted messages (tried and failed) b) Save any attachments you wish to keep to your Filestorage or a zip disk and then delete the related message. To save an attachment, right-click on the attachment icon in the message and choose 'Savetarget as.' (tried that by right-clicking the individual photos but it won't work - it says "The file couldn't be written to the cache"

Their third suggestion gives a link to their website but it's down. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know there's probably a very simple solution that I've overlooked but I'm **** with this type of thing...and I'm expecting some important e-mails.

    Thanks!

It happened to me before - think you have to move them to trash, delete them (they won't) and log in the next day and they're gone (was a year ago so I could be missing something)

    Switch to gmail ffs!!

another option is to use a program like outlike and make sure it pulls the files from the server.

Happened to me last year, tried everything but eventually had to submit a ticket to have it resolved. Do it from here:http://isservices.tcd.ie/helpdesk/submit.php.

    Also; switch to MyZone!

go raibh míle for the replies. I'll wait a few days to see if it sorts itself out and then give the boyos in I.S. a holla.

Maybe switch your mymail account over the the Gmail service?

I set up the myzone thing ages ago but whenever I checked it there were no e-mails there other than the welcoming one. Turns out I hadn't "switched" from mymail...so did that just there. tested it there so now all mails sent to my x@tcd.ie go to the myzone one. So what happens to all old e-mails in your mymail account? Will they be deleted along with the mymail service in MT 2007? and I presume my problem with exceeding the quota is now irrelevant seeing as though mymail is effectively redundant?

    Thanks again!

Follow the instructions for moving your old mails from mymail to myzone and then forget about mymail all together.
