Should I Get The Elite or Keep PS3?

Hey,

Well i was just looking at the prices of the 360 elite and saw that its only 480euro with 2 games blue dragon and bioshock and now i am faced with a massive decision. With the release of Halo 3 next month i will definately be getting a 360 anyway. I have alot of ps3 games which i dont really play and tbh the past month or so i have only been using it for media and blu ray player. Anyway i have the following ps3 package and was wondering what i would expect to get for it:

PS3 60GB Version
Ninja Gaiden
Motorstorm
Rainbow Six
Virtua Fighter
Resistance
300 blu ray
Casino Royale Blu Ray
Motorola H300 BT Headset
2 x Six axis controllers


i also have alot of movies on the hard drive and tekken 5 dark resurrection and also mortal kombat 2..i also got the map pack for resistance which cost 5euro.

please dont point out that the ps3 sucks and 360 rules as i will not listen to any rubbish like that..i would get a ps3 at christmas time if i got 800-850euro for this as then i could have money to pay and get the rest of money off parents and hopefully there will be another price drop...also with the release of the elite will the 360 begin to get alot cheaper?

Id say get the Elite. Not because I prefer the 360, its because you obviously want to play games and the 360 has an amazing line up of games at present and in the future. Im not saying the PS3 doesnt, i just think the 360 has a far better lineup imo(Halo 3, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon and Bioshock to name a few.
You could sell the PS3 for 475-500 on its own.

Where did you see that deal by the way?

saw the deal at game.co.uk and was talking to my brother and he wasnt happy that i was tempted to sell ps3 so now i think we are going to go halves on it as long as i get 4 ps3 games sold...

If you cant sell them xtravision should give you an alright trade in price. If you end up getting a 360 let us know what you think of it.

If you want a PS3 anyway then selling it now wouldn't be best, I'd say keep it and sell some of the games to fund a 360 or 360 Elite purchase. That way you don't have to choose between them

I hardly ever even turn on my PS3 but I wouldn't sell it because at some point there will be games I want to play on it.

exactly what im doing thanks...selling 4 of the games (resistance, motorstorm, rainbow six and ninja gaiden) if anyones interested...

just get the normal 360 the elite has notting to offer if you have a ps3 already, you seem to use the hard drive alot with movies buy a bigger one can get to 250gb you'll be better off

unlike Koneko i use mine alot but thats mostly trying to s rank ac4

While you're at it, why not go with the "pro". What is it about the Elite that you're interested in?

dont know...the fact that its only out...the cool look it has and the 120gb hard drive...i always pick black before white when it comes to consoles thats why i got a black nintendo ds lite ..better off paying an extra 100euro and get a bigger hard drive and tbh a better package than the pro..

The PS3 on it's own should net you the 360 Elite plus Blue Dragon and BioShock. There's a package on the GAME site with those for 330 sterling, which is just under 500. I believe you get around 480 for a PS3 trade in.

You only get 375 trade in for a PS3. I saw a sign in game today.

Hmmm, they must have brought it down then when the Elite price came down. Could have sworn it was around 450 last week.

Sell the ps3 on adverts or ebay you'll get alot more money from that.
