Word 2000 and office 2007

I am wondering is it possible to install office 2007 but keep old version of word which is 2000. Would there be any problems associated with this?

I recently (last week) installed a copy of Outlook 2003 onto a computer that had office 2000 on it... Because i just wanted outlook on it (and was in a major rush), i didn't bother upgrading the rest... You get an option if you want to or not, so ya, it can be done...

Why don't you want it by the way??

Word 2007 can save documents in Word 2000 format if you want it to.

I want to keep Word 2000 as I have a lot of word 2000 documents already on computer.

Word 2007 will read everything Word 2000 can, and more.

Though I installed Office 2007 but I kept Word 2003, I think Word 2007 is an absolute mess! You won't believe the amount of times I've saved important stuff in .docx format and then realise they can't be opened on anything else!!

There'll be a custom option asking you if you what components you want to install.

Word 2003 can open .docx files if you install the free office 2007 compatibility pack from Microsoft.
