Does that mean that my msi k9n sli platinum will work with it
because it says that in the bios it does not recognise it

MSI say the 6000+ is supported on the K9N SLI with bios version 3.6 or later.

It appears publicly the latest bios is 3.5 so that means the 3.6 must be unreleased or on their FTP site perhaps in a beta folder.

Try the 3.5 bios and see if that corrects it or use the MSI LiveUpdate software which will download the latest bios and install it for you, perhaps the 3.6 release is only present on LiveUpdate.

Found the 3.6 bios (courtesy of Station Drivers) it was on MSI's japan website.

Download the 3.6 bios and flash it wit the LiveUpdate software then you should be good to go.

(in the start menu select MSI\Live Update 3 also IE must be set as your browser as it uses a web page interface that only works on IE  )
