    Hi

i realise this is probably the wrong forum but i didnt think 'travel' was appropriate because it seemed to offer reviews of holidays.

basically i booked a flight with ryanair and at the time of booking was only taking hand baggage, this has now since changed and i have to take a suitcase. i want to book the luggage before i get to the airport and i went into their website and onto change flight details but it will only let me change the flight date or time- anyone any ideas??? if i wait to the airport, they will charge twice the price and i refuse to give that fecking company anymore of my money.

Maybe you should have booked with some other fecking company, or made you mind up what you were bringing before you booked :b

    There's always some smart-ass!

Gee, you dont think i thought of that and believe me i am not happy about flying with ryanair- truth be told i would rather swim to my destination. But Ryanair are the only airline that fly from my nearest airport to my destination.

but I really want to thank you for your helpful comment

you have really answered my question

    You have two options:
    1. Don't bring excess luggage
    2. Pay excess fee

Actually, where on the confirmation page does it say how much luggage you will bring? I'm looking at a six months old confirmation page.

I think it's 12 euro and I don't think you've much option. Maybe it would be worth ringing them if you're really determined.

They'll **** you over for excess, unfortunately.

Afaik, since you didn't book the luggage when you booked the flight first, you'll still have to pay the higher charge whether you pay it by phone or when you get to the airport.

I have the same problem with a flight I'll be taking next month.

You have to go to the Ryanair 'Sales' desk and pay the baggage charge.

It's €12 per bag checked in each way, not too bad really.

Arrive early and do that before you join the check-in queue, then you'll be grand.
