Muppets. Period.

Why is it every time I see a thread with "Muppets" in the title, I think of the Swedish Chef? I was so disappointed when I read the 'People wearing ID after work' thread.

I would much rather see more threads about the Muppet Show!

    Børk! Børk! Børk!

Household 6 gave me a DVD collection of the Muppets to watch when I went abroad for a year. Is it possible that too few people of the current generation know the origins of Mahnah Mahnah?

    NTM

I thought this thread would be about Miss Piggy's time of the month!

    Let's help them out then.

By chance I also posted a great vid with Animal in the Cool Vids forum earlier today.

Sorry yes, the count was amazing. He had a longer name that I forget. Was the count a Mathamacisan(?) or English scholar?

You're confusing the MS with Sesame Street now fellas.

I'm in physics, and everyone in the department can be labelled a Beaker or a Bunsen.
    Except me of course.

You don't seem too clear on it's origins either if you think it was originally used in the Muppet Show.

They may not have been Muppet Show characters, but technically many of the Sesame Street characters are muppets. The term is used to define the tsyle of puppet created by the Jim Henson Workshop. Not to mention that a lot of crossovers over the years have in many ways sealed connections between many of the characters.

I've always been bemused at the thought that Mah Nà Mah Nà is a bridge between childrens' tv and Italian soft p0rn..... ;)

Muppets version ftw, though (even without the sauna scene!).... :D:D:D

It's gonna be stuck in my head for the rest of the day now..... :(

Harumph... Allow me my delusions. Muppets are great for kids. Mahnah Mahnah kicked off life in a porn movie, but I'm not sure I'd tell a five-year-old that!

[Edit: How did I not see the post above?!]
