    Hi
Just finished building a new pc and can't get tightvnc to run properly. Used to have it set up fine.

I have 2 computers both running XP, connected through a d-link router.
Thing is the new computer can connect to the laptop no problem but I can't get it to work the other way around it just keeps telling me it failed to connect to server.

Anyone any ideas, I can share all the files between both computers across the workgroup no problem so they are both connected.

    Is windows FW blocking VNC?
Ensure it is added on both as allowed

That's it, it wasnt allowed on the new pc. I never thought of that because I thought windows firewall would show a notification when it was blockin a program.

    Anyway, thanks for the help
