Hi I'm new to bootcamp.. is it possible to have a shared folder, preferably on the mac partition that can be accessed? I have a whole materials library etc I need to access from Max on Bootcamp. Any ideas?

The simple answer to your question is yes you can access the Windows partition set up in Boot Camp, but there are certain provisos. MacOSX can read Windows NTFS partitions but cannot write to them. If you need to have both read and write access to the Windows partition then format it as FAT (actually FAT32). Fat32 isn't the most reliable method of laying out a disk but it's the only one available to you for R/W purposes.

This and many other questions are answered in the Boot Camp FAQ at Apples site.

The alternative is Parallels are VM. Both of these give a shared folder accessible from both sides.

Just in case I've misinterpreted your question here is an article explaining the other way 'round: accessing your Mac OSX partition from Windows. The link explains MacDrive 7 which is a commercial product. I don't know of any free ones that will do this but . . . Also have a look here for another good FAQ.
