    Legendary journalist and editor and MP and Minister and campaigner and golf partner William Deeds has finally died at 94.

    I enjoyed his column in the Telegraph (but I used to be thinking that he must be 'getting on'). They certainly broke the mould............

    Not to mention receiver of fortnightly letters from "inside" 10 Downing Street for 11 years :D

    In terms of career and longevity, he had it.

    I enjoyed this piece. Although, i would not have agreed with many of his politicial views he was a great man whose column was always worth reading.
