hi ill try and keep it short,

background. going out with my girlfriend 4 years now. shes a lovely girl, fantastic personality, the type that keeps a party going and everyone likes and shes stunning. She has alot of aspirations career wise and she wants a family etc.

lately ive been feeling like i want to break up with her, i dunno why because shes an incredible girl. I have no idea wtf is going on in my head. im starting to get easily annoyed with her, having petty fights. i dont get it, i should be happy. why dont i want to be with this girl! my head is very wrecked. we are both 25 good jobs, lots going for us, yet im thinking i want to be alone! im really starting to get depressed because im forcing myself to be happy around her when im just not! i cant remember when i lost the spark and for the life of me i dont know why either. has anyone any words of wisdom, advice?

    'Hi mate.

I went through the exact same thing with a girl I was with (with her for 3 years). Spark gone, depressed, felt like I just wanted to be by myself.

Amazing girl, everything I could want in somebody and more, couldnt understand why I wasnt "in love" with her.

Dumped her, didnt even talk to her about it. I just bottled everything up for a year until I couldnt handle it anymore.

Only realised when she was gone that she was the one for me. Regretted it ever since. Only realised that relationships do take hard work, and part of the hard work it is talking and dealing with this kind of thing as a couple...... even when its stuff the other person doesnt want to hear.

If she is so good, be honest and tell her how you're feeling. Dont try deal with it on your own....... talk to her about it. Its not easy and it'll hurt her but you might be able to work out whats going on between the two of you, as any true couple should be able to do. But you have to tell her whats going on, you'll hurt and confuse her by acting like you're this snappy moody git who's tired all the time, she'll blame herself, feel bad, she wont know whats going on.

Do this and if it works out it works out and you're happy together and i hope it works like that for you. If it doesnt............... well you gave it everything you had and you were honest right up until the end which is all you could have done and it would make any breakup a bit easier to deal with knowing this.

    Thats jus my 2cents'

    This is really good advice.
