I just bought a Hisense LCD 1933EU from good old harvey norman, my problem is I can't find any code to reprogramme my sky plus remote to control it. Is hisense made by any other manufacturer that might work on it. all help appreciated!

Use the sky remote to go to the interactive menu. From there go to Sky Active.Go to customer support and press on the option to reconfigure the remote with your television. Then just follow the on screen instructions. It works with the nomal non-sky plus remote anyway

    You and 30 Russians. http://www.hisense.com/en/Press_Center/detail.jsp?cont_id=1424
Hisense is a major Chinese TV and Air-con manufacturer not a rebrand so if you can buy it as Hisense here there are unlikely to be rebrands also available. If you cant find the code in the usual places as already listed above and in the recent thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055133788
you could try emailing Sky to see if it is in their database. If they dont have it you are probably out of luck, you could try emailing Hisense and ask them to send their codes to Sky for future inclusion. You could try codes from their partners TVs (Samsung, Sony, Panasonic) they may manufacture for them or use same remote modules for some sets, then again they may not.
Had similar problem with a Cello (rebrand - manuf unknown), no codes are available so had to give up.

While on the Hisense subject, does anyone know where I can get a normal remote for a Hisense 42' TV because I've been remoteless for a few months now. None of the universal remotes seem to work on it and I sent an email to them and they replied quoting me almost €80 for a new one which is just robbery.

I've a Hisense TV,emailed a hisense address to get codes to work sky+HD remote and got this back- "The product doesn't support the function. Sorry."
Has anyone got their sky remote to work their hisense TV???!!

Hisense doesn't support Sky remotes, I have a 42 inch Hisense and when I had Sky I made the same inquiry directly to Hisense.I was told in affect to have the codes for my model added to Sky there was a fee involved , hisense weren't willing to pay Sky.

Your best bet would be to ask Hisense for a list of compatible universal remotes , hopefully there is one that is compatible with Hisense and Sky.

I dropped Sky soon after so never persuade it any further. The Hisense TV I have is a excellent TV and at the time was half the price of larger name brands with In my opinion as good picture except for maybe the Sony bravia range. I don't see why Sky didn't design their boxes to have the volume function directly controlled by the box itself.

To be honest, its no great hassle to use the TV remote to turn on/off TV or to adjust volume. Not gonna buy another remote to lose down the back of the couch!!

I have a hisense model lcd32v88p. I have tried many codes including the ones that are on this site and none work. I suggest that we inform Harvey Norman that they are selling a product that is not supported !
