Right, I heard today that on Tuesday, places are available on the CAO website for either new courses or courses that did not fill in colleges. Is this the case, because we were never told anything about this by our Guidance Counsellor.

As a matter of interest, will all the courses people are offered be there at 6am on Monday, or do some have to wait throughout the day for it to come??

    Is this like UCAS clearing?

any courses that have no prospect of being filled (there are roughly 65K college places and only 64K people doing the leaving according to the minister for education) will be advertised in the vacant places section of the cao website. as long as you meet the minimum requirements for that course ie if it needs c3 in honors maths then you must have gotten it or better then you can be accepted. as demand does not exceed supply for these places your points do not matter.

i dont think its specifically tuesday though i think they are just updated as the process goes on

the courses on that list do not have a points requirement as there is no demand for them. if you look at a list of the points for last years any courses that has aqa (all qualified applicants) will be the ones that were on the vacant places list last year

I don't think you need the points, however, the minimum requirements (such as C3 or higher in a second language for Journalism with A Language) are still there.
