The chubb lock on my front door had stopped locking properly.

I've taken it apart and found a worn piece inside I don't think I can replace - so I need to get a new one.

Any idea where around Dublin centre I might be able to get a new lock? And are there standard sizes so I can just slot in a new one? See below...

    Any thoughts appreciated. :)

    Exactly the case, Borzoi.

Just picked up an identical one in a locksmith on Dame St (€47 fwiw).

    CHEERS!

great you found it. I have found that if you are looking for a slightly unusual replacement lock, Kingstons on Pembroke St. can often help quicker than some of the locksmiths.

What your friendly locksmith omitted to mention is that he could have replaced the levers in your own lock(with 2 new keys) for half the price:(
