outsourcing

Hi, I'm looking into the possibility of outsourcing abroad (India or eastern europe) for a particular project. I've received some valuable feedback on the pro's and con's from elsewhere but can anyone make any actual recommendations so that I can investigate further? Any suggestions welcome. Thanking You.

we outsourced our development team here in my place,

over to india it went, worst experience ever,

time zone issues, very slow to respond, language barriers found sometimes. They also wouldn't listen to us, they did what they thought best, not what we wanted, and we ended up have to get them to recode because stuff wouldn't do what we wanted.
