sempron 3500 or dual core on dell laptop

Buying a cheap dell laptop for my sis. IOt will never be used for anything other than web browsing etc, but is it worth paying dell the extra 50euro for a dual core rather than the AMD® Sempron™ Mobile Technology 3500+ that seems to come standard? its going to be running XP with 1gig ram
