I watched most of it but missed that bit. My bro told me about it tho. Looks like we better close this site for good :D

He's just worried about the competition. The "experts" get paid to give their opinions, we're just armchair fans! :p

Well, on the experts front, Id say Andy Gray would predict more games right than Spillane! :D

I missed it and will miss the repeat tomorrow night. Whatever he may say about us, we have fun in here, and when we meet - those that are not scared to do so that is. :)

I have only seen 3 minutes of this program in total since it started. They didn't mention us specifically?Find it funny myself how a person can bash people who talk about GAA on the net....next your average joe soap will be criticised for talking and scrutinising players and teams in the pub.

Sure only the experts are allowed to talk about such matters as they are experts and actually know what the hell they talkin bout right?......*sound of crickets*

I don't think John Allen was talking about boards, it was more blogs he was referring to. I think he's not too well up on 'net-speak though because there are very few blogs that mention GAA out there!
I'd say he meant message boards like anfearrrua and such like where there doesn't seem to be much moderation (if any). I've seen stuff posted on there that would get you banned here.

There's no such thing as bad publicity as they say. After the Dublin v Tyrone floodlit game, I saw a brief mention in the paper about videos going up on You Tube. I think they were referring to mine. :D

I saw them alright. Youre IrishFlukey or something like that right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,005 ✭✭✭✭Flukey

Yes, I am. Flukey was already gone when I set up my account. I use IrishFlukey as a username for some things. Here are the two videos I put up:

    Dublin v Tyrone 1st half - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYtaTd6MiBc

    Dublin v Tyrone 2nd half - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8wozd9VT28

We know what kind of reaction they will get from some about here, especially the first one.

They already have :) Doesnt occur to some people that if we wanted to hide what went on that game, i wouldnt have posted them up. However thats the only game where a bit of trouble did go on unprovoked. Was plain there were a huge amount of non GAA fans in the Hill that day. Just listening to people talk, you would have sweared they never saw a match in their lives.

Whenever any match is there, there are non-GAA fans in the place. Sunshine fans, those who don't even know who is playing, people there for the free lunch etc.

Very true, but for that one there were a few off their head and causing hassle. Most of it was innocent enough tho. Only really that one incident.
