    Hi,

Ive never had highlights done before, but was thinking of getting them done, i want something different. But the reason ive never done them before is cos I know if i get them done once, ill have to keep getting them done because of the roots.

SO what happens? Can you pick a few different colours?? Is there something called low lights aswell??

I heard you can get them done cheap in a hairdressers on George's Street by students. But it takes like 5 or 6 hours. But its only 50 or 60 euro.

    Any insights??

having highlights done once you will have to have them re-done every 6-12 weeks depending on the growth of your hair.
low lights are darker colours. highlights are all your bright blondes and that.
most salons have training nights every week where the apprentice is watched by qualified stylists and colourists. having your colour done here is fine because they are being watched and all know what they are doing.
prices vary from salon to salon but about 50 sounds very cheap.

go into a salon and ask about training nights.
    good luck
