Hi, my dog seems to have just been stung by a wasp on her cheak. The side of her mouth has started to swell up fairly badly.
I just wondered if this could be serious and if she should go to a vet?

    Thanks :o

I would go to the vet as it can impair her breathing - animals like us can be allergic to stings.

I agree - when in doubt go to the vet. At least you'll know for the future if she is/isn't allergic to wasp stings (though she still may be allergic to bee stings, slightly different venom - so still be vigilant!)

Thanks for the advice, i didnt even know where the vet was so had to trust the taxi driver.
She was fine though, the vet said if she was allergic to any sting the reaction would happen after a few seconds, if nothing happens after a minute or two its just a sting.
