    liked season one of the uk one,the second season was brutal though.....

    Colm Meany would be great as Gene Hunt, but why bother remaking it?
    The yanks did this before with Cracker,and that was awful. I really don't see the need for this, no matter how good the casting is.

    They're not doing it for you. They're doing it for US audiences, who like to hear American accents and have their TV shows set in America. Is it really that hard to understand?

    just watching some old ST TNG, isn't chief o'brien the coolest character on the show, the hardest, he's the only one to come up the ranks and for ya to have the feeling the he fought in groundwars while the rest were in their cosy ships.. bit of irish tweeness but he benn there done that...above all

    He also played a gritty cop in Con Air with John Cusack, he was hilarious & the scene where something fell of the plane transporting the prisoners & flattened Meaney's car LMAO moment :D

    Meaney Is fyckin gas in any film ive seen him in. Never caught LOM on its UK run though, wish I had, John Simm is a lethal actor from what i saw in The Lakes, Cracker and Human Traffic, deffo one of my top rated UK actors.

    His wife is a crackin piece of arse and all, the cnut :D

    Yeah its almost finished its run on BBC3 Mon+Tue nights, but RTE has replaced it with Hotel Babylon without any notice on Tues nights, jeezus :rolleyes:

    Properbly due to the end of season 1, maybe they dont have the rights to season 2 atm
