    Lads,
Came out of a shop today to find someone had scuffed from the passenger door, along the side to the back wing and alloy when they obviously pulled out of the parking spot!

It is marked down to "white" with line, no dents.

    Would T-Cut sort this out?

    Thanks

I dont know how effective t-cut is, but was it a shopping centre?
Contact security if so and get them to check if there are cameras covering it.
If you can get a reg number then you wont need to t-cut at all.

If the paint has gone completely (only white remains) no amount of compounding will fix it.

should sort it, you will need another final polish to shine it back up.

It sounds to me like it's scratched rather than scuffed. I'd imagine the white you see is the primer below the paint. If that's the case it needs to be repainted.

If you can snag your fingernail in it, its not going away too easy.
Depending on the colour you can minimise it with a good polish & wax - silver is particularly forgiving.

Had something similar myself and used some rubbing compound and then waxed and polished it. Took some elbow grease and worked well.Again it depends on how deep the scratch is?

Happened to me in the long term in the airport, lovely orange paint all over the rear passenger side wheel arch, having the car valeted on monday and they said it will machine polish out. I've heard that 3m Finesse (or something like that) may help, but as stated if you're down to the primer it's going to be either a touchup or some sort of blending. Try carcraft.ie they may help.
