    Photo op tonight

Viking ship to be hoisted out of Liffey

Thought this might interest some people http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/mhcwmhqlidmh/ I cant make it but it looks like it could be worth checking out.

At 11pm tonight the 30m-long Sea Stallion will be lifted by crane from the quayside to Croppies Acres and over the Luas line in to Collins Barracks at the National Museum of Ireland.

Tomorrow, the longship will be put in place in Clark Square, where it will remain on show to the public as part of a special Viking-themed exhibition until June next year.

If I was in dublin for it I would head along to it. When its placed the exhibition looks like it will be good as well though.

Just saw this message and mentioned it to my hubby. He was working in the city today and saw it being lifted onto a truck at around 3pm. So much for news reports. Only glad I did not see this and go in to try get photos.

and coming home at 7 , it was gone -- maybe its the wrong boat , cause it didn't look too dramatic to me -- lots of tourists though  !

The event now is open to everybody it was to be a ticket thing but due to demand its now first come first served, i'm involved in the music Shaun Davey has been comisioned to compose the music and tonight will be the world premier of said score its actually very good, the plan is that they will show a movie to which we will play the score and a troop a drummers will march in the crew again to music. It will be (if the weather holds out) a very interesting evening the ceremony begins at 6.30 (as of now) and will fun for an hour.
