    Hey,

Bought a new (old) car to replace the Vitara and a new (new) car alarm to go onto it. :D The car's a V40 estate and the alarm is a TOAD C2.

Can anyone recommend someone who'll just fit the alarm, without giving me a load of crap about how it could be a dodgy unit off fleebay etc and that they can sell and fit one instead....for an extortionate price...

Don't mind paying a fair price, but the quotes I'm getting are taking the piss - €200 to fit in one case. It's a basic alarm with 2 ultrasonic sensors and a single loop imobiliser circuit....Nothing special. I'll even program it myself, so it's just wiring it up right that I need.

I'd happily do it myself except my neck and back are now giving me absolute hell and won't let me move the way I need to if I'm to get at the wiring loom etc....

    Cheers,

    Gil

Most installers wont touch an alarm not provided by them due to warranty issues, its not worth the hassle from an installer point of view if there is a problem with the alarm down the road, hence why if someone does decide to fit it you'll get a high price but tbh €200 is probably an average norm fitting price.

    Thanks for the reply Eireal,

I'm actually not looking for warranty at all to be honest. I got the alarm from my cousin who has trade contacts through the distributors he buys body kits, alloys, performance upgrades etc. from. He really looked after me on the price to be honest....

All I need now is someone to connect the wires - I was in a car wreck last week and won't be able to flex enough to get in around the cabin/footwell to do the job properly. I don't need warranty - If it works when it's fitted, that's the end of it as far as I'm concerned....

    Cheers,

    Gil
