I think its Ctrl+Alt+vowel or Alt Gr+vowel. Your keyboard layout should be set to Irish.

Tried them both. No luck. How do you set your keyboard to irish?

The only option I have is English (Ireland) and it is set to that. No Gaeilge option. Any other suggestions?

    AltGr+the vowel works for me..

In the Regional Options tab you set it as English(Ireland), and then in the Language tab if you click Details you should have an option to set it to English(Ireland)-Irish..

If not then there may be something you can download from Microsoft? Don't know if you set up a MS Word short cut for á,é,í,ó or ú if it will be transferrable to here or not..

I use ctrl and alt and vowel usually works except my i doesn't!!!

ctrl shift alt and vowel - Cap Vowels (cap i works)

    ctrl shift alt and a - Á
    ctrl shift alt and e - É
    ctrl shift alt and i - Í
    ctrl shift alt and o - Ó
    ctrl shift alt and u - Ú
Take out shift for lower case

    The other codes are
    alt and 160 - á
    alt and 130 - é
    alt and 161 - í
    alt and 162 - ó
    alt and 163 - ú

Don't know the codes for cap letters though

    Órla :)
