Ok basically I work for a company who contracts people out to other sites when necessary. SO story is another company want some people from my company to work for them including me.

I have to go for an interview now to see if I get a place with them....Anyone know what to expect at the interview?? Like will it be like a job interview with lots of technical questions etc or will it be a general what have you been doing so far etc and what experience do you have??

Remember I already am employed by a company but am being "borrowed" or "seconded" to another company.

Any help greatly appreicated. In your response please let me know if this has happened to you and if so what exactly happened.

    Thanks

I had worked for a company for 5 years and they decided to outsourced the department, it was an easy transfere didin't realy have an interview as such, make sure you get what your entilted to and seek a contract before the hand over goes ahead

I've had bad experience with a the company that outsourced our department

if you want to find out more info PM me as I don't want to mention on the main board

in mosts secondments your employer will pay your wages and the seconding company pay your employer for your use, so there really shouldnt be a new contract. from what i know in my company any inter company secondmnets dont need an interview but if there was one I would think it is to see whether you;ll fit into the team on a personal level.

The reason you have to go to an interview is to make sure you have the skills that the secondment company need. Im not sure what industry you work in but im in IT and that has happened me.
First i was given a phone interview to assess what level of knowledge i had in different areas (I was never told this was what id be asked btw!!) then i had a face to face interview where they went through my CV which my company has posted to them... bottom line - Be Prepared to be grilled!!
I got a shock when i was asked loads of technical questions over the phone!:(
