Some very nice shots on there, good work Sol! Africa's somewhere I'd love to go on holliers to!

What lens were you using for those severe close ups? They're amazingly clear!

Ah those are brilliant shots. Great colour in the first one and I love the composition in the second one. Nicely done.

Really like these shots - that first one looks like the sort of shot that the guy gowan action could improve. The 2nd one I would probably rotate a little bit clockwise and the third I would probably rotate a little too.

What is the guy gowan technique?

The 2nd two were taken from a jeep with 8 other people in the back (a nine seater thingy) so lining up all the photos perfectly was a little difficult but you are right they could be squarer.

As for the lens nearly all my good photos (including the above 3) were taken on a Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 lens, I also used a 170-500mm sigma 5-6.3 but it was VERY HARD to take clear shots with even when using a monopod. It was just so hard to cut down the lens shake.

Its a photoshop action file that he gives to students at his lectures and who buy his dvd's. I find it useful for pics with lots of vibrant greens.
