Advice for voip pbx

I am interested in connecting up a system of about 4 to 8 phones and 1 fax. Initially I was looking at a cheap analogue pabx system (€120-€300 on ebay), but then decided to take a look at a voip setup.
There seems to be few affordable options available, but maybe I haven't looked hard enough. The 2 I have found are the SPA9000 & GXW4008. Someone else on boards mentioned using an ibox, but I can't find any decent info on this product and no prices on their website.
Not sure if I'm interested in the asterisk option.

Does anyone have any experience creating a setup like this and have any suggestions on the best and/or cheaper way to do it?

One of the requirements I would have is to make and receive calls using both the existing pstn number and a new voip number on the same phones. Anyone know if this is possible?

I'm also looking at a setup like this right now. Considering using Axon with a Linksys FXS to keep the landline number and a couple of headsets/USB phones connecting to the workstations in the office. I kinda like how once the PC goes down, the phone won't work. Means that calls to people not at work won't get there and can be rerouted/voicemailed/whatever. Not sure what sort of quality software Axon is but I do know that it's free (provided you don't use the add-on software like voice-recording, IVS, etc).

If you find out anything more let me know and I'll update as things get going this week.

I decided to try out asterisk/trixbox on a spare pc I had. There were a few setup problems, but its now up and running with 2 snom phones currently attached. Very impressed with the features!! Had great fun with the dial plans, but finally have it working with 3 different voip providers.
The only downside is the pc is running constantly so I am a little concerned about a hardware failure sometime in the future, particulary the HDD.
I will probably go with a SPA3102 to connect the analog line but haven't got round to doing so. Although I get the impression that one of the TDM digium cards might be better.
The main reason I didn't go for the SPA9000 was the additional license cost to bump it up to 16 extensions.
