That was so creepy. I was listening and i sneezed, and while they were talking about something completly irrelevent one of the blokes just said "Bless You"

I think they should have pushed the Derek Acorah thing . I think they hurt Evet's feelings but she seemed more offended and pleading for comeraderie than defending her show.

Then the worst thing about it is TAPS went down the same road as most haunted TV ratings took over .

1) you cant compare most haunted to ghost hunters.
2) dont confuse ghost hunters the tv show with TAPS the paranormal group.
3) Im still waiting on the evidential proof that GH "went down the same road as most haunted". The proof just isnt there in relation to the halloween thing ... unless of course we all just jump to conclusions.

I dont compare any TV show with what any team does,,,Its Entertainment no matter who does it.
Producers run a show not Team,,,if they didnt get anything who in the name of jaysus would watch it

ghost hunters has always been a tv show so its always been run by producers. I want to know when it went like most haunted.

For what's its worth I thought the whole coat pulling thing on the live show looked suspect (as seen on utube).

In my own opinion a TV show based on what happens during investigations would be boring because we all know that very little does actually happen.

I dont want to get stuck in an arguement about TAPs and most haunted becuase I gave up on all paranormal TV shows and my opinion is not well enough informed atm, lets just say that I dont rate any of them, I will check out new shows before I lump them in with the rest though.

It's not that I think they are the same, I just dont trust any of them.

This thread title etc is way wrong - if you are going to compare anything to MH, then compare the TV show Ghost Hunters, not The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) - two completely different entities (pardon the pun)

I cant say 'suspect' as theres just nothing to back that up. Weird something would happen OK and it has to be viewed objectively, but to flame people based on no actual proof (which is what has happened) to me is just a bit over-speculative. Well I can't get evidence and I only think it's suspect, I don't need evidence to have an opinion or to suspect something, I made no claims, just the shielded hand and where it happened WRT the camera all looked dodgy to me.
I don't really care who puts what up on youtube or who makes what TV show, I'll look at it and form an opinion. I can only make that opinion on what I have seen, I don't care enough about it to fly over there to investigate an investigation (not that I'd get anywhere).
I didn't go on to any forums and slate them (I didn't even read them) or read into what the youtube posters said about it, I just looked at the coat moving, where the guys hand was in each case and the reaction of the two lads. On that basis I think it's suspect.
I don't assume that everything shown on TAPs is honest I keep an open mind on it, I understand that it's entertainment and I have a hunch about what I saw in this case alone and I'm discussing it. Realistically we will never know for sure.


I think it's reasonable and fair to make such a statement, these guys are not above having their content analysed (I imagine they are very much for it, they do it to other shows) and from what the producers decided to air I formed an opinion on that particular bit of footage.

I know you are not having a shot at me and that others have taken the whole thing too far and it's those guys who have gotten to you, and I agree with you on that BTW. I'm not one of them. It is still my favourite paranormal show, I would rather I never saw the clip TBH.

To be honest i have stopped watching Paranormal Shows they are all the same ,,,its turned into a joke, bring back sightings,,

I think its all gone way to comercial anyway,,and because of this places have up the prices on investigations,,,Yet as we know always somthing happens on a TV show if it didnt we wouldnt watch it,,but yet we go and investigate,,,and we get nothing, i have said the same thing , to GHI members and they couldnt answer me because i was right in what i said ITS A SHOW GET OVER IT

the only good thing to come from any of these shows is that people are more open to coming forward and asking for help.

I agree with you both about tv shows - and stoner, thats all i mean about that. I cant say (unless iw as there) it was fake or not. I wouldnt say it *wasnt* fake but at the same time going by the footage I also cant say it *is* either. Now if there was something obvious that pointed at fakery then maybe ....

Stoner was saying that too, he thought it was "suspect" I am the same . Just cant trust the TV shows .

... but the issue is that its only suspect because it happened. the suspicious thing is that basically its too good to be true - but thats not proof of fakery.

Not for me, I think it's possible that this type of thing could happen, the suspicious things for me were

1) The guys hand being shielded from the camera whenever it happened. For example if my collar was pulled down 2-3 times by a potential ghost I would use both hands to pick it up, in fact most people use both hands to fix a collar on each side anyway.

2) The way the collar shot down again when the other guy was fixing it.

For me they were two independently suspicious occurrences, not that it was too good to be true.

Your are right though iamhunted, it's not proof of fakery, or anything, it's amazing we are all giving it so much air to begin with, although we are all giving a more balanced opinion on it then posters on other forums and youtube.
