    Badly written article.

    1. its €3500 a month for a 100mbit circuit .

Eircom would nearly have charged that for a 2mbit Dublin Galway leased line.

    2. depends on where he wants to go in 'Europe'. If it was London then no prob.

    3. This bit is true

"But it is the frustration of getting operators interested in a lucrative €500,000 data contract that is telling. “Some of it is ineptness. Why is it that you can’t get a sales person in the business telecoms arena to contact you when all you want is information?”

Its because the sales people are crap. If the operators hired someone who knew what they are at it would not be an issue. Instead they hire kids with no technical knowledge .

Therefore they do not engender confidence and do not get the business.

Having said that I would have thought that Smart and Magnet are capable of putting a quote together and possibly Verizon ( were worldcom)

    Agree with that Sponge Bob.

Intrinsic lack of interest and intellectual as well as Backhaul 'capacity' in the market at the moment.

Funny part about this is, that this type of sale is high margin business. Guess the rookies aren't told that at sales training camps!
