IBM Thinkpad Keyboard not working???

    Its an IBM T40 Thinkpad.. For some reason its like the keyboard is locked or frozen.. The cursor will still move around and its seems like certain function buttons will work..

    Anyone any idea how to turn it off or fix this problem??

    Does the keyboard work during boot.EG Press F2 for bios menu ...


    Can you go log into Safe mode during boot up? Does it work from there. Have you other (new) devices like cameras/printers etc attached. If so remove them to see if they are conflicting. Are all buttons not working or just a few
