    Was on another website ( a parenting one) and someone there had done this "experiment" for her kids b'day part, she posted some photos and a link to this site - looks interesting

    And judging on the numbers taking science subjects at leaving - anything that can get kids interested should probably be welcomed.

    `there was an episode of mythbusters about this. using nozzles they were able to get heights of around 40ft, pretty cool.
    i think its diet coke rather than regular coke.

    Yeah it was on Mythbusters and was actually one of there more scientific episodes in that they pretty well explained what was going on that causes the reaction.

    AFAIK it is Diet Coke that gets the best reaction.
