Guys just looking for some advice. I'm playing online micro limits at the mo' .5/.10c stuff. Usually make a few euro profit each hour ($10 is the max you can bring to these tables). Basically have trebled up on what I have invested.

Had one major tilting session where I blew everything rapid but have got a hold on my tilting since then. Still play like a muppet now and then but surely awareness of this is a good thing!!?

In sit n go tournaments I usually finish in the top 3 or 4 ($ 5 or $6.50 buy ins). Play in a home game where I usually finish in the money also (a few fish here).

Have read Sklansky and Lee Jones but need to study them more.
I guess my point is where do I go from here?
Do I go up a level or should I stick for another year at this level where I'm comfortable. How long or how many hands do I need to improve, I feel I've reached a plateau but maybe haven't the guts to move up.

    Any opinions valued.
    Buck

How much do you have as a bankroll?

if you live near a cardroom, why not venture in and play a low buy-in tournament? most of them have €50 buy-in events weekly.

it'll provide a nice contrast to online play

when your rolled for 0.10/0.25 and your beating 0.05/0.10 comfortably (and not just running hot) take a few shots at 0.10/0.25. if you feel you havn't got an edge in these games move back down, taking regular shots until you think you can beat them. what i do anyway

Bankroll is small , invested €50 and its now treble that. I guess I could put in another 200 if need be.

at the mo you can happily play 5c/10c but if you stick in another 200 you can start playin 10/20 and still be within you limits.

Obviously do this if you feel you can beat 5c/10c consistently.

I dont honestly believe anyone should spend a year at any level. Unless of course its a hobby and you dont want to move up or unless there are no higher limits.

ok just to add a question here guys:
how do you handle a loose donkfest of a home game with 2 solid players and 2 donkeys and a couple of bluffers thrown in, found myself folding A,5o or similar and pair of 8's wins the pot or some other rubbish. Should you tighten up and pick your spots or play any picture card or Ace?
The game just passed me by and any time I semi bluffed I was always called despite being TAG, of course I was card dead for ages too.

I wouldn't read too much into these homes games. Generally what you have described is a very shallow stacked game with short blind levels which really test nothing other than who runs the best on the night.

Obviously some skill is still involved but its kinda all situation specific. For example if you feel someone is bluffing alot you should call him down lighter , Don't semi bluff without fold equity. It only profitable to semi bluff if you think your opponent will fold alot of the time , try to play in position etc etc
