Well, heading abroad and want to bring the old stick or a couple of them along as i'm sure they're not easily got abroad!

Anyways just wondering whats the usual way to bring stuff like this ? Try and squeeze it into your luggage or can you carry it as hand luggage (with a strap or something to carry it).

Strictly speaking they exceed the allowed size of hand baggage (length wise) so would assume you have to check them.

I've brought them before and just checked them in as normal in no bag. Just taped them together and had to drop them off at the oversized baggage belt. Alot of airports have special belts when you get to arrivals and they come in on that and not the normal belts. Same belt that golf clubs, buggies, bikes and so on come in on.

I don't think you would be permitted to bring them onboard these days., You'll have to check them in - either in your baggage, or seperately. Like someone suggested, I've seen them on luggage belts just taped together.

Spot on! I did a weekend in baggage for BA in T4 there a couple of weekends ago. I saw plenty of hurleys coming through especially through the TBF. Normally taped together and tagged up.
