Tip: For slow dashboards...

    I was getting really annoyed that my dashboard has been getting slower and slower lately, sometimes taking about 30 seconds to load, so I did what I always do and started messing...

    Off I went ~/Library/Caches/DashboardClient, and found that the Dashboard cache was 30MB. :eek: So... byebye folder, cleared the cache and now Dashboard now loads almost instantaneously for me.

    Happy days! Just thought I'd share it ;)

    By the way... what exactly is cache memory??? Like ive seen comps advertised as having 2MB cache... what is this used for?

    Cache is like a temporary memory where you can store frequently accessed data so that it can be read/loaded faster. Like your web cache, parts of web pages that you frequently visit are stored in your cache area, image data etc, so that it loads faster, but you use up storage space. Usually not very much though. Hope that makes some sense... if not...
