    Hi,
Will be goin to NY in 2 weeks, do u think it would be wise to wait and buy one there rather than buying one here?
Also, would u reccommend a 12" laptop, as its more portable?

Would ye reccommend any places in NY that sell good value laptops?

    Thanx,
    scliffy

You will certainly get more for your money when you buy in the US, especially the way the dollar is right now.

    A few pointers:

Beware of mail in rebates. The price you see on the shelf is usually the price after rebate. Unless you, or a friend, live in the US, you cannot claim the rebate.

Warranty. Most likely you will be covered by international warranty (it is a portable computer after all), but just make sure you are covered back home.

Power supply - not an issue. All laptops are dual voltage.

Customs - not an issue either. Just use common sense and take it out of the packaging before you travel home.

Try J & R down by the Word Trade Center site.
