    For Sale
    Western Arms 1911-A1 .45 Gilded v12

    Long name eh? :)

Okay, this is a *limited edition* gold 1911-A1, a spectacular piece of which I believe there are less than 500 of worldwide. Manufactured by the best airsoft pistol maker in the world, Western Arms, the finish is outstanding with no mould seams to be seen and weighs in at a hefty 730g. They are near exact replicas of Nicholas Cages gold 1911-A1s in Face/Off, minus the "Springfield Armoury" inscription and dragon grips, which are available on eBay by the way.

This pistol has fired no more than 200 shots in the 6 months that i've had it, it has never seen a skirmish and has been outdoors once. It is essentially brand new and is being sold as such, coupled with the fact that it is a limited edition and can no longer be bought anywhere.

Features real wood grips, windage adjustable rear sight, unique skeletal trigger, 6.03mm accuracy inner barrel, a ported slide and compensator barrel. Metal parts include inner and outer barrel, guide rod, front and rear sights, trigger, slide release, magazine release, hammer, safety, second grip safety, rear grip, grips screws and magazine.

Magazine is brand new as the one that came with it hit the ground (on me releasing it and failing to catch it) and the top lip of magazine smashed off. So brand new 21 round metal magazine included.

Reviews around the internet confirm that this pistol has one of the hardest blowback actions of any out of-the-box pistol, and let me tell you it has a fair kick out of it! I can't remember the fps exactly, but i think its in the 300fps region. Accuracy is perfect, I always remember my very first shot, I hit a 1" wide metal clothes line pole from about 25ft away; the smile on my face!

    Anyways, the price.
This piece cost me €260 delievered, and I got hit hard with Sterling import duty, so it cost me €330 in the end.

I'm selling it for €250, as it is in prestine condition and cannot afford to keep it. I always intended on getting another one to complete the Castor Troy look, but alas these pieces are very expensive.

At that price, i'm not expecting much interest, but if there's one other 1911 lover out there, or someone whos after an exceptional, original and truely unique piece, then this is it. You can be sure this is the only one in Ireland, and one of few in the whole of Europe. I'm fairly selling this eh?

Anyways, €250 delievered anywhere in Ireland, and I might be at HRTA this Saturday either.
    Thanks guys.

Ok, I was offered €250 over PM aswell, but it was a good hour after your offer Shiva, how does this work? First person to offer the asking price gets it? Or can I start a bidding war?

BTW, looks like I won't be making it to HRTA this weekend :(

First person to offer it gets it, and even if the PM offer was before mine, its against the rules as far as I know.
And no, you cant start a bidding war :) Your asking price has been met.

I was always afraid to bring it to HRTA in case it got scratched or dirty!

woo hoo, i'm in luck, i thought yours was the original gilded gun which has finished production but its version 2 (which i like better, nicer trigger).
i nearly kicked myself for missing this but i found where to get one.
now just deciding on weather to buy one or two?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,661 ✭✭✭Voodoomelon

Where'd you find one Spitfire?! Every site I went to over the last whole has been "out of stock", most notably all the american sites.

I never liked the first version, didn't like the grips on them with the gold emblem, the wood grips on this version are sweet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

not hard to find, so i'll leave the digging to anyone thats realy into getting one just in case they sell out before i get mine.

the first version had the same wood grips. the only real noteable diff in appearence is the trigger being the type with the 3 holes rather then the one in your pics. there is also another version which may be what your thinking of that has two sets of grips, one pearl(plastic) and one that has a cast look to it.

You're one lucky man Shiva. I'm usually not one for pimped out pistols like that at all.. but damn that's beautiful.
