Great, there's five in the Irish league now so it's gathering momentum and there should be a good crowd joined by the time the WC gets underway.

Ya, 'tiz a bit of a pain trying to field a team of 20 athletes, all from different nations. But I suppose, otherwise everyone would have a team made up predominantly of Russia, the U.S and east Africans!

That doesn't matter in the slightest (it would help, but feck it!). My advice to you if you're stuck on who to pick is go to the world rankings on the IAAF website:

...and work from there!

Just to let y'all know, this season's IAAF fantasy game is open for business at fantasy game.

This year's game is set around the Golden League and other major Grands Prix (but not the Olympics) and you don't need to re-register, you can use last year's login.

I just got an e-mail from the IAAF to say I won the third event (Prefontaine Classic) of the Fantasy Athletics tournament, with my team of Bekele, Defar, Merrit, Richards and Walker.

There were tons of other people who got the same score but I was randomly drawn as the winner. They say the that "The exact prize is not determined but will include an Adidas Jogging outfit".....I better start jogging so!

Hurrah, I haven't won anything in yonkers!

Well, there's a phone number on the bottom of the e-mail so if I don't get my prize next september (they say it won't be sent out 'til then), I'll be pestering them with phone calls!
