Has anybody bought Slx TV-Link (magic eye) on ebay?

I'm looking at buying a 4 way Slx amplifier and 4 "magic eyes".
I've got a quote from an installer - €120.00 for supply and fit of the amp. €20.00 each for the magic eye's.

Now, if i do the job myself - i can get the amp for €40.00 in Maplin, the eye's are €33.00 each.

I've been looking on ebay - and i can get the eye's for €9.00 (not including P&P).

I'm just wondering if anybody has bought any of these from ebay, and if so, are they as good as the Maplin version?

Any help on this whole project would be greatly appreciated.

€33 for a magic eye?

The best "magic eyes" IMHO are the Triax ones when it comes to reliability. The SLX ones aren't overly reliable. Nor are the Global ones for that matter in my experience. Samson branded ones worst I've used.

For the amp itself, I suggest Triax or Global.

I agree Triax are the most reliable I've used, 33 is way too expensive

Desktop PC Boards discount code on https://www.satellite.ie/ is boards.ie

You could try satellite.ie or some of the links on the Shops sticky thread at the top of this forum, otherwise maybe the likes of eBay.
