    Hi,

I'm off to Sth America next week and am desperate to watch the Dublin v Kerry game. I'm not even going to be Lima where I might have a chance of seeing the game but in Puno, near lake Titicaca.
Has anyone ever been able to watch a GAA game in peru? Can you let me know if it's possible.
What about watching it on RTE.ie. Is this possible abroad?

Very doubtful you`ll get it on TV. If you go to the thread about someone looking for GAA in Buenos Aires (probably about page 2 or 3 of the forum here) there is a way to bypass the RTE.ie thing. Basically RTE.ie are only showing to Irish customers so you need to make it look like your computer is logging on from Ireland. It explains how to do it in the thread

I was in Lake Titicaca in the last 6 months and you haven't a hope of seeing game in Puno. If you make it to La Paz in Bolivia there is an Irish hostel there (La Paz is about 4 hours on a bus from Puno). There are some internet cafes in Puno but the connection isn't great and only computers logged in in Ireland can watch the game on rte.ie. I just listened to the games on the radio when I was there. If you can figure out stuff to do with proxy servers you might be ok but I haven't a clue I'm afraid!

I couldnt get the Leinster Final when I was in Dallas last month. I had to eat my french toast breakfast while talking to my dad over my phone. It sucked. If you cant get it in a major Texas city, Id say you will struggle to get it in the sticks in Peru

If the connection is crap, your just going to get a constantly skipping picture anyway which would annoy you more than missing it completely. Id say go with the radio option then.

I thought America and Canada would be safe but nobody realises that even in Europe you can be screwed for coverage unless there is Sky Digital or Setanta.I couldn't watch the Dublin-Westmeath match in south Italy or Dublin-Offaly when I was travelling back through Frankfurt-Hahn.

    Luckily,both games were non-events.
