Has anyone tried the power breathe device? It’s supposed to boost your lung capacity/ performance. I’m a bit sceptical myself. They are also expensive at €60. Their website is: http://www.powerbreathe.com/homep.html

ooh, and they have it in pink for the Iron Girl! nah, personally as an asthmatic I would not go near it.

As another asthmatic, I tried one when I was training for my first half-marathon, and found that it was very useful. It was the powerlung model and cost around 60 quid on eBay.. You have to be well disciplined to use it though, and be prepared to face the ridicule of your spouse/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend/family pet..

I bought it specifically because I am an asthmatic and didn't have the same lung capacity as my fellow runners. The extra lung capacity may, however, have come from the additional hill training I was doing at the time..

that's interesting to know Krusty. Seeing as I am on inhalers which already work with lung capacity I would want to talk to my doc first before using anything like this.
