Canon SmartbaseMP370 - stopped printing!

    I've a Canon Smartbase MP370 that I got about 2 years ago... Its used occasionally...

    A couple of weeks ago it started to print very lightly and then nothing at all - I've changed the cartridges so they are new ..cleaned the print heads/done alignment as per the book etc

    Its taking the page to print on ... the cartridges are moving side to side, like its printing ... but nothing on the page.... I've rung Canon who suggested a service, rang service crowd and I'm looking at about anything from the 150€ mark plus ...he suggested it might be the print heads...

    So is there anything else I can do myself... or do I just buy a new one?.. Thanks for all your suggestions. :)
