Was it just me or did England even try to get to the 500 runs needed?

I know it was very hard to get the runs but they are 1-0 down in the last game.

If felt like the players backed themselves for a draw in the game instead of a draw in the series.

yea i'm not sure i was possible they need to get 5 runs an over for 100overs not very likely, considering there best ODI squad probably couldn't maintain that for 40overs...

Although i do see were your coming from, why not just go for it as they've nothing to lose, surely if they had been bowled out for around 200, everybody would've understood...

its imposibbe. to even score 400

Even if they went for it all INdia would have had to do was bowl 2 bouncers per over and bowl a lot of wide negative stuff...with the field spread far and deep.

alot of critisism for India that they didnt enforce the follow own but imagine if england had gotten 130-150 ahead with a session to go....batting sides have known tto crumble....

India did the right thing in securing the series first and then trying to go for the win....there was some superb bowling on the morning of the 5th day and india were unluck not to pick up one or two wickets in the first 20 minutes...had they so....i think they would have gone on.

wasnt to be but they will take the series win.

    Its a test match
500 is impossible for various reasons, there is no limit on bowling, means anyone can bowl unlimted overs.

There are no wide bowl also, plus if england would try to score runs with fast runrate, they would have played some shots and got out also.
In test match last 5 players are nothing actually and instead of draw, they could loose, so they did right thing actually

    Regards
