    Ok, so I was in contact with a manager of a shop in the middle of July. I asked him if he had any jobs available. He was really nice about it and said not at the moment but drop in a cv and when something comes around at the end of August he would get in touch with me. My question is should I ring him now and ask if anything has opened up, or wait until later in the month.

    If it's student work you're looking for keep putting in more cv's. Despite the positive vibes you may have gotten the manager probably doesn't remember you...you're better off putting in more cv's in more shops and such. I'd also advise you to ring this place as well...in case he has forgotten you. I wouldn't be all too hopefull though. Is this the only place you put a cv in/ applied for a job in?
