as the title says, bought a 4g pro duo,
wasnt sure if it was genuine or not, so did a quick look around and found the following guide which confirms my stick as fake.

im filling it up now, and it seems ok for now.
does anyone know it i will have problems down the line with this fake?
the actual stick itself is identical to the original, its just the packaging that gave it away.
you'd think that they would up the standard in the packaging, then they'd get away with it!

so it fills up completly, no problems yet.
pity the battery isn't the best, it would be an alternative to my ipod now.
gonna hold off on leaving feedback for a few days & see how it goes.

Been running two fake MS pro duos for a year or more now (2gb in phone, 1gb in PSP) and no trouble...the 2g b can slow the phone down but I think that's the phone's fault.

You either get lucky with the fakes or you don't sounds like you might of gotten lucky.
It won't be as fast as the originals though which shouldn't pose much of a problem if it is just for music.
    How much did you pay?

came out at e40.06 including shipping from uk, not bad for 4gb.

i found out that he's been selling fakes alright, but not until after it came & looked suspicious.
most of the feedback was just people giving out about them being fakes and not that they were bad quality cards, so id say his fake stock is decent enough.
dunno if i should leave positive feedback.
not a genuine sony magicgate as advertised (psp says magicgate: unknown),
but other than that im pretty pleased with it,
i've formatted it twice, filled it up, emptied it, checked it under disc utilty (i use a mac) and it gives a reading of 3.8gb (formatted) and something like 4.02654216 (actual memory)

i did notice slightly slower transfer speeds, anyone know and speed/transfer testing app?
mainly will be used for movies, a few psx games and some music so not that pushed really.

if anyone wants the sellers name on ebay pm me.
i've told a mate of mine, think hes gonna get one next week, so ill find out if he has a good experience too and let ye know.

I have a fake memory stick and a genuine ms.The main difference between the two is the transfer speeds. It takes around 7-10 mins to transfer a 500mb file to the stick with the fake one. With the genuine MS it take around 1-3mins.The genuine one also has around 50mb more space.
