I was wondering is it possible to solder up "mod" one of these myself without buying one .Ive seen the driver around the web for them so that would'nt be a problem .but is it feasible ?? i was looking through the web and the is a few of them that use a PCB and some kind of controller chip ??but in pisture picture i see here http://www.usbgear.com/usa/item_288.html it looks like it could be done ??

No worries. I don't understand it myself. I just guessed that if you knew enough to be asking about making one then you might have been able to understand it. I just googled for:

usb to serial rs232 wiring diagram

It came up with a few decent results.

If it all gets too much for you, you can get them for €20.00 from komplett.
