How many runners were there for the Friday game? I couldn't make it :(

Is it only 500 added if more than 60 players running??

    Club looks great,

unfortunately I lasted one level last week, sigh.
I have k10 in the BB, flop comes 2 6 10, I bet 200, player raises to 600 I call. turn comes K, yepee, I bet 600 he goes all in, I call like a hot snot, and he flips over pocket kings for a turned set, nice hand well played.

Arrival at Jackpot 8.59, depart 9.40p.m.

    31 runners last night

9 Places got paid due to a suggestion before the final table started:eek:

Me being the shortest stack on the ft by a mile kept my mouth shut and swiftly went out in 9th for a free game,

Does anyone think the club should be able to block such moves or is it entirely up to the players..

6 placely were due to get paid , IMO it should have only bein 4

so you come on today and give out about a deal, stating that really only 4 should have been paid, while last night you kept stump and got a free nights poker, come on..... What really do you want people to say

Deals are done all the time and if you feel So Strongly cough cough about it, then object. Once there is one objection thatn there is no deals.

Well colette, with 5 or 6 bb's left and im bb the next hand and the 2nd chip leader on the table basically offers to give me my money back, i am not going to object. I i had of had half a playable stack i would have objected,

I am not giving out to the club in anyway, i am just asking is there anyway a club can object to paying 30% of the field??

Not that I have ever heard, unless it is a tournament where it is explicitly stated that no deals are permitted, and this doesn;t apply to 99% of the tournies held in Dublin casinos.

The club can not possibly stop a deal being made. For example: if the club stops them at the final table from making a deal they can all ask for a break. Go outside and make a deal there, so no point stoping them!

It was probably 6 runners due to the added money. So with 31 people and the added money making it 41 people it probably should have been 5 people realistically

    Just to be clear.

Your objections to such deals are situational rather principled? If so why raise the matter of the club tring to interfere with a deal?

If you objections are principled why take the deal?

Or is it a matter of just being curious about a possible intervention by the club?

I am not challenging your integrity, I am just curious and seeking clarification.:)

This would be the one here, and its not by the club in question just any club in general,
5starpool answered the question for me.

why would the club want to object...you all have paid your entry feeland they have taken their reg fee.

so the prize pool is between you and not the club...if everyone agrees on how to distrubute the prize pool the club has no objections...in fact it speeds up the game which in the clubs best interest as it gets more players on to the cash tables quicker as ppl are knocked out of the tournie

Thanks. i would have assumed once the punters agree then the club is happy.
