The Function of the gas in an airsoft gbb

The Function of the gas in airsoft gbb
For the use in gbb, the gas is filled in to bb mag. At room temperature and normal pressure the gas is gaseous. The pressure rises proportionally to the outdoor temperature. In the mag there is always a thermal ballance between liquid and gaseous. This effect is being used in the best possible way.
In airsoft gbb's the gas is directly drawn off the mag causing the pressure inside the mag to decline. As a result a part of the liquid gas is vaporized restoring the balance of pressure at the same time. For this process warmth from the environment is needed, which can be seen from the noticeable cooling of the gas mag.

Due to the fact that the reaction of the propellant gas varies according to the outdoor temperature the shooting characteristics differ from shot to shot. As long as there is a remaining quantity of liquid gas in the mag the pressure remains constant. However, if the temperature inside the mag should decline due to rapid fire and the blow back of the slide, the balance of the pressure will also decline and thus also the speed of the bb. The coincidence of these factors can also be noticed from the pattern of scores. So the number of shots as well as the muzzle velocity and the pattern of scores achieved with one gas or a onder depends on the laws of physics.

At room temperature and with the corresponding breaks between shots of 8 or 15 series of shots can be fired with one gas mag. The number of shots from a gas mag will change with the temperature.

    Ehhhh.....ok. ??

    Did someone ask this question?
What id like to know is: Does increasing the size of the gas storage (inside of the mag) make the slow down less. IE: Id be willing to carry around a Co2 or green gas can the size of a 500ml coke bottle if it ment my Deagle wouldnt lose power.

I always found this phenomenon annoying, i can easily get 2 full mags of BBs (50 shots) out of my metal USP, yet in quick rapid fire succession i'd be lucky to get one magazine.
I also tend to use summer gas which should be used in temperatures 18*C or over, as its easily available to me.

thats because the more you shoot, the colder your magazine gets, the lower the gas pressure gets, the more gas you need for each shot :p
