Just happened to flick onto it on BBC1, great movie, I feel compelled to watch it whenever I come across it! Tarrentino plays a very twisted sicko in this and I really love Salma's cameo in this (Tarrentino gets to do his foot fetish thing by sucking on her toes). A great cast with strong performances from Clooney, Harvey and Moore, nice homage to Assualt on Precinct 13 with the Kid wearing the Tee Shirt and and one of my favourite Robert Rodriquez movies

I agree, it's fantastic film, and really does the whole genre bending thing very well. I remember the first time I watched it, I was with one of my cousins, and we instantly rewound the tape and watched it again.

It's been on my to-do list to get it on DVD at some stage, but I haven't as of yet.

Agree also, its a great movie. Just love that switch once they get to the titty-twister, where its like tarantino just says "ok Rob, you take it from here".
Just arrived on my doorstep on friday along with another lash of stuff i ordered from Play.com at the end of their big sale, havent gotten around to watching it again yet though, tonights ones were Office Space, and Baise Moi (which was much better then i was expecting), but ill probably throw it on someday this week.

I never knew Tarantino had a foot fetish..

Wow, what a crazy fcuked up mind mush mess and above all fun film. I watched it as part of a seven hour four horror movie fest. Easily the best.

One of the most rewatchable films I have ever had the joy of watching. The OTT nature of proceedings is refreshing change to the seriousness of so many modern horror films.

The sequels aren't half bad either, and like the original they mash genres in quiet a nice way. From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money is the traditional one last job before I get out gone wrong, but with vampires. The gore is quiet toned down, but any film with Robert Patrick and a cameo from Bruce Campbell is value for money.

The Hangman's Daughter is an old fashioned western with the added bonus of vampies. Some very nice violence and dark humour. Hopefully P.J. Pesce can bring some of the films fun to his Lost Boys sequel.

I've never watched the sequels I'm afraid. I think I'd be very wary of anything that has a 3.6 rating on imdb.com

I never really put much heed into the imdb ratings. The sequels are never going to be classed as great or good films. They promise some cheap fun and deliver upon the promise. Each of them is 90 minutes of switch your brain off and just go with it fun.

Well, I generally think of the imdb ratings as a 'Rough guide' that's all, but when you're getting down to those low ratings, it can be fairly accurate that you've a turkey on your hands. But hey, if I'm ever at a loss for something to watch (Ha! :D) I'll try and remember to give them a rent.

Oh yes the man does! Remember the speech between Vincent and Jules and what happened to poor Tony Rocky Horror? Here is a nice montage of some of the foot fetish stuff in his movies

Also picture of him recently out having Sushi recently http://www.tmz.com/2007/06/26/quentin-sucks-toes/

Dusk til Dawn has its moments but Rodriguez never blew me away with any of his previous films.

That was until I watched Planet Terror. Fans of Dusk til Dawn will love it! Film of the year and greatest B-Movie ever!!!

Watched this last night too. I hadnt seen it in ages. Brilliant film. The switch at the titty twister where it just turns into a vampire flick was fantastic. I remember thinking WTF! what sort of film is this. Its just such a laugh.

I love 'From Dusk Til Dawn' but most people loathe it for "the turn"... that is, for anyone who's seen the movie - the moment it turns from a heist kidnapping type dialogue-driven thriller into something completely different (i.e the vampire horror movie).

The DVD is worth getting for the 90 minute documentary 'Full Tilt Boogie' - very interesting!

The turn is great. It's great with a film like that watching it when it first comes out and just having that "WHOA! WHAT THE FUNK!!!???" :D

I too thought the sequels were pretty fun, though coming from me that'd probably just reinforce the opinion that they weren't worth the effort....:D

Amzing film, hadn't gotten such a kick out of a twist since Terminator 2.

Agreed the full tilt boogie doc is great (and whilst we're talking docs even though star wars episode I was pants the doc on the dvd called 'the beginning' is amazing - how all behind the scenes docs should be done, I just can't fathom why they didn't repeat it for II and III)
